About AnnetteTaylor Photography

More than just photos

I’m Evie, a portrait and boudoir photographer based on the Sunshine Coast, creating natural, emotive imagery for women, couples, and individuals who want to feel confident, present, and truly seen.

I’ve lived here my whole life, and my connection to people and relationships is at the heart of everything I do. I’m also a mum, and have been with my partner for eight years — family and connection shape both my life and my work.

I first picked up a camera at eight years old, instinctively documenting the world around me. The Start of 2020  I invested in my first professional camera and began refining my craft, using photography as a way to see beyond the surface and capture something real.

I’ve always been observant, drawn to quiet details others might miss.

Photography allows me to slow down and connect.

My mission is to create images that reveal people as they truly are.

I focus on capturing intimate moments, subtle gestures and the layers of personality that make each person unique, turning them into visuals that feel both powerful and personal.

My Approach

Every session I create is calm, natural, and intentional.

I know being in front of a camera can feel uncomfortable at first, especially for boudoir.

You don’t need to know how to pose or act a certain way. I guide you the whole time with simple direction so you can relax into it and feel like yourself.

I’ve always been drawn to the quiet details. The way you move, the small expressions, the moments in between. That’s where the most honest images come from, and that’s what I focus on throughout every session.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and confident. Once that’s there, everything else comes naturally.

This isn’t about forcing anything or trying to create a perfect version of you. It’s about capturing what’s already there.

The end result is imagery that feels real, considered, and personal to you.

The Practice in Action

I work with my Sony A7RV, mixing in Polaroids, a light bar and other lighting setups to create images that feel intentional and effortless. Every piece of gear is chosen to support the work, and I always have backups to ensure the shoot runs smoothly.

I’ve spent a lot of time working in curated spaces and studios, where every detail - light, space and composition — is designed to bring out confidence and authenticity.

My work in the field

I’ve built my practice through portraits, editorial work, and event photography, capturing people and moments in real-world environments as well as curated sets.

For community projects and volunteer shoots to styled sessions, I focus on making every person feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.

Behind the Scenes

I’m constantly striving to bring my clients’ vision to life. From hiring unique spaces and organising venues to even including animals in a shoot, every detail is carefully considered to make their dream a reality.

Beyond the shoot, I focus on retouching and refining each image, continuously developing my editing skills to ensure every final photo feels polished, intentional, and true to the moment.

Real. Bold. Unapologetically You.

Because the most powerful thing you can be is yourself - raw, honest and entirely real.
